I have had to learn about so much this semester. I have had the chance to learn about Afghanistan and many other countries, and Guns, Germs, and Steel, urbanization and idustrialization, and nationalism. In August 2009 I did not now about Afghan women and how much danger they have been in all these years. It really has made me open my eyes and look at the world around me. I learned that geography 
really affects everything in the world. I finally understand what nationalism is. I also understand why countries are so poor and why they can't get themselves out of the mess they are in. About myself, I have learned that projects help me better than just really a book and doing worksheets and taking notes. It makes me remember what I have learned. I get a little frustrated with the whole no binder thing, but it's okay. I can live with it.
